Hazard mapping of ground subsidence in east area of Sapporo using frequency ratio model and GIS

As an earthquake occurred in Iburi subprefecture, Japan on September 2018, Sapporo has also been damaged by ground subsidence. Ground subsidence can occur various area, especially urban areas causing considerable damage to human lives and properties. Currently, is one of the most important problems all over world. However, quantitative research about due that particularly area was not well studied. To prevent minimize critical caused subsidence, this study aims construct hazard map predict susceptible place East Sapporo, using geographic information system (GIS) frequency ratio (FR) model. determine major factors related spatial databases were constructed from geological map, slope data, land use borehole precipitation railroad subway line data data. Weight each estimated FR model analyze degree map. Constructed susceptibility compared with reported actual for verification showed prediction accuracy 85.17%. This result sufficient possibility reliable mapping GIS
